NOTE: Registration codes for different major versions (e.g., 1.0 and 2.0) are not interchangeable. Neither are codes for different products.

ULTRASOFT MONEY FOR PALM OS®

When you install Ultrasoft Money for Palm OS, you will be able to enter your registration code or serial number during setup.

To enter your registration code or serial number, please do the following:

1. Click your mouse on the HotSync icon in your Windows system tray (lower right corner of your PC screen)

2. Choose the "Custom" menu option

3. Click on "Money" in the list of conduits

4. Click the "Change" button.

5. Go to the "About" page.

6(a). Ultrasoft Money version 3 or later: If your registration code is not displayed in the list, click the "Add" button and enter it. If it is displayed and it is incorrect, select it and click the "Change" button.

6(b). Ultrasoft Money version 2: Enter your registration code in the "User Code" field on the "About" page.

7. Make sure the other settings, such as HotSync Action, are set correctly (see the User Guide for more information).

IMPORTANT: if you have data on your handheld device that you want to upload to Microsoft Money, make sure the "HotSync Action" is set to "Synchronize the files". Check the "Set as default" option too.

When you synchronize, the code will be downloaded to the handheld program.

To unlock the Palm OS handheld application before you synchronize, you can enter your code in the "About" dialog as described earlier. If you're using Ultrasoft Money version 2 or earlier, enter the first four digits only.

ULTRASOFT MONEY FOR WINDOWS® MOBILE

To input your Ultrasoft Money for Windows Mobile registration code or serial number, please do the following:

1. From the Windows Start menu, click Programs, Ultrasoft Money Mobile, and Ultrasoft Money Settings.

2. If prompted, select the mobile device from the list and click OK.

3. Go to the "About" page.

4. Locate the Registration Serial Number field, click the Edit button and input your code.

5. Make sure the other settings, such as the Synchronization Action, are set correctly (see the User Guide for more information).

When you synchronize, the code will be downloaded to your mobile device.

To unlock the Windows Mobile application before you synchronize, you can enter your code by selecting the Registration option in the main menu.

DATASHIELD

Your Ultrasoft DataShield code goes in the "About DataShield" dialog, which is accessed via the "Options" menu in the DataShield application on your Palm OS handheld computer.

BRAINFOREST

If you're using the handheld-only Ultrasoft BrainForest Mobile Edition, the code goes in the "About BrainForest" dialog, which is accessed via the "Options" menu in the BrainForestapplication on your Palm OS handheld computer.

If you're installing BrainForest Deluxe Edition, you will be able to enter your registration code or serial number during setup.

CHECKBOOK

Your Ultrasoft CheckBook code goes in the "About CheckBook" dialog, which is accessed via the "Options" menu in the CheckBook application on your Palm OS handheld computer.

MONEYLINK

The MoneyLink "Lite Edition" add-in for Excel does not use a registration code or serial number. It is a free program.
